My name is Greg Foyster and I’m the author of the book Changing Gears: A Pedal-Powered Detour from the Rat Race, which tells the story of a 6500-kilometre cycling journey up Australia exploring simple and sustainable living.
I'm doing two events at the Sydney Writers' Festival that ARTcycle members/readers might be interested in:
Changing Gears ‘Read and Ride’ event, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, May 25 10am-1pm
This year the Sydney Writers’ Festival is holding a special cycling-themed event at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre on Sunday May 25. Join the ABC’s Gregg Borschmann as he talks to Greg Foyster, the author of Changing Gears, about his 6500-kilometre bicycle odyssey up the east coast of Australia seeking a simpler, more fulfilling lifestyle. The one hour discussion is followed by an optional two hour ride around the Blue Mountains with Greg Foyster and Bikeminded bicycle store.
The event is presented with Varuna, the National Writers House. To book, visit the Sydney Writers’ Festival site.
Life on Two Wheels, Sydney Theatre Company, Pier 4/5 Hickson Rd, The Rocks, May 22 10am-11am
